【目的】看護学生への性に関するピアエデュケーションの経験を通した助産学生の学びと自己意識の発達を明らかにし、ピアエデュケーターの助産学生の視座から捉えたピアエデュケーションの教育的効果を検討する。【方法】量的研究と質的記述的研究を用いた混合研究デザインである。本学助産学生23名を対象に無記名質問紙調査を実施した。ピアエデュケーションの準備初回時と講義実施後に自己肯定意識尺度を測定し、講義実施後の助産学生の学びを自由記載により収集した。【結果】自己肯定意識尺度の比較検討の結果、準備初回時よりも講義実施後に対自己領域の【自己受容】と【自己表明・対人的積極性】が高まり（p＜0.05）、対他者領域の【被評価意識・対人緊張】が低下した（p＜0.05）。質的帰納的分析の結果、3 カテゴリが抽出された。ピア学生の視点で講義や準備を通した気づきは、【ピアの学生にとって興味関心の持てる講義・準備の難しさ】他3 サブカテゴリ、ピアエデュケーターの経験を活かした女性への関わりの期待は、【性に関する知識や講義計画を活かした母親に理解しやすい保健指導】他1 サブカテゴリ、ピアエデュケーターの経験による自己成長は、【自分の考えを仲間に伝えることで得られた自信】他3 サブカテゴリとなった。【結論】ピアエデュケーターの助産学生の視座から捉えたピアエデュケーションの教育的効果として、以下の内容が示唆された。ピアエデュケーションの講義準備を通した学びは、学生自身のピア活動の経験を振り返ることにより今後の実習に展開できる抽象的な概念化へと繋がる。ピアエデュケーターの経験は、女性たちの性に関する自己決定について助産師として支援する役割を考える経験学習となり得る。ピアエデュケーター同士の仲間意識を育てていく経験は、助産師のアイデンティティ形成の基盤となる態度に繋がる。 |

Objective: To clarify midwifery students’ learning and development of self-consciousness through the experience of peer education on sexuality for nursing students. Thereby, examining the educational effects of peer education as seen from the perspective of peer educators’ midwifery students. Methods: A mixed research design combining quantitative and qualitative descriptive research was used. A questionnaire survey was administered to 23 midwifery students at the university. The survey measured the Self-Positive Attitude Scale at the first time of preparation and after the lecture. In addition, midwifery students’ learning through peer education was collected by free writing. Results: A comparative study of the Self-Positive Attitude Scale revealed that [Self-acceptance] and [Self-expression/Personal positiveness] in the self-realm area increased after the lecture compared to the first time of preparation (p＜0.05). In addition, [Evaluated consciousness/Interpersonal tension] in the other-person area decreased (p＜0.05). The following three categories were extracted from the qualitative and inductive analysis. Notably, lectures and preparation from the peer students’ perspective observed [The difficulty of preparing lectures that are interesting to peer students] and three other subcategories. Expectations for supporting women using my experience as a peer educator were [Health guidance that is easy for mothers to understand by utilizing knowledge about sex and lecture plans] and one subcategory. The personal growth generated by the experience as a peer educator was [Confidence gained by sharing my thoughts with my peers] and three subcategories. Conclusion: The following contents were suggested as educational effects of peer education from the perspective of peer educators’ midwifery students. Learning through peer education lectures/preparation leads to abstract conceptualization that can be developed into future practice by midwifery students reflecting on their own experiences with peer activities. The peer educator’s experience can be experiential learning to reflect on their role as midwives in supporting women in their self-determination of sexuality. The experience of developing camaraderie among peer educators can lead to attitudes that form the basis of midwifery identity. |
